By Our Special Correspondent

AHMEDABAD, APRIL 30 . Family members of two British citizens who were killed during the communal riots in March 2002 have filed a suit against the Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, and the then State Home Minister, Gordhan Jhadafiya, holding them responsible for the killing and claimed Rs. 22.17 crores as compensation.

The suit was filed at the Himmatnagar court, the district headquarters of Sabarkantha, where they were killed while on a visit. The case has been posted for May 6. The Gujarat High Court also issued notice to the CBI and the State Government on a petition filed by two police personnel allegedly involved in the Bilkis Banoo case.
